Merry Christmas to everyone who has celebrated. This is the first year we’ve brought in some festive cheer for Christmas. I would usually travel to India in December and since that didn’t happen this year, we were missing our home and the winter gloom definitely adds to it. So to bring in some cheer, this year we’ve decided to learn about Christmas and try to celebrate it in our way.
We got the Christmas tree at the start of the month, decorated it with some handmade bows and our pictures to add a personal touch. And we’ve been looking a Christmas tradition and I think we found one. On the Christmas Eve, both of us together made some cookies and our favorite snacks. We prepared our dinner together and enjoyed every bit of the prep & our meals together! And at the end we shared with each other, one best moment or a miracle that happened this year (coz Christmas is all about miracles right and we do believe in them!).
And no matter what, I like to dress up and I’ve been saving this dress since the past years for an occasion to wear. And this year gave me no occasion, so I just decided to doll myself up! It is one of my most favorite dresses, and it would be a perfect Prom or Occassion wear outfit. I picked it up a few years back from Dillard’s. It’s a beauty by itself, so I went with simple precious accessories. This set together was the very first gift I received from Ravi, and it remains special. I added some black petals to the earrings to make them a little visible. And I went with simple makeup and a red lipstick! The only hard part for me was to figure out my hair. It has been growing crazily and though I wanted to get it cut, I’m a little scared to go out to a salon. So I’m just managing for now. And I finished it off with some black pumps, of course for the pictures 🙂
Ah we do have a cute little Santa, and how can we miss him 😉 Scroll down for more pictures of him and some of my favorite decor. Will see you soon with a new post!
Till then, sending lots of love and good vibes ♥️
