Hello everyone! Hope you are doing good 🙂 Blame the July 4th weekend for not posting the blog last week. I had the perfect relaxed weekend, followed by a busy week at work 🙂 Now that it’s almost weekend, I didn’t wanted to delay the post any further.
I’m here with Look 5 of the series 🙂 The series is almost incomplete without a basic look, so here are my favorite summer basics. A denim skirt is the most versatile and feminine piece in the wardrobe, and you can easily dress it up or down by pairing it with the right top and accessories. I have been searching for a high waisted midi length denim skirt for so long, and found this one recently at H&M.
And keeping in mind the hot summers, light and airy cotton shirts are a must have. I found this striped shirt again at H&M, which is so light and breathable. I really loved how the shirt and the denim skirt compliment each other, to make the look so chic & cute 🙂 To make the look more summery, I’ve decided to pair it with a straw bag, which have been trending lately. I got this again from H&M. I have been really liking the effort high street brands like H&M have been putting to help recycle and create new outfits out of the recycled clothes. I felt really happy with all my purchases, not only with the quality and price but also because they were a few steps closer towards the sustainable clothing range.
Finally for accessories, I wanted to add the feminine dressed up vibes so I added these ivory pumps from Vince Camuto, which I got a couple seasons ago. Again they are not the most comfortable pair of heels I own, I cannot stand them for more than an hour or two and that too with minimal walking. So I only go with them on the days, when I know that I would stand or walk a lot. I was going out for lunch, so I took these out and that went very well with the outfit. You can always pair them with sneakers to make it more casual, and idle for a day out. I’ve added these long earrings to make the statement and a half top knot 🙂
I hope you like this look and let me know your thoughts in the comments section. If you have not read the previous looks of the series, you can find them here – Look 1, Look 2, Look 3 and Look 4. Have a great weekend and see you again with a new post.
Lots of Love,
