How’s your weekend going? Mine’s going pretty good. I started Spring cleaning my house and rearranging the furniture around just to have some change, coz change is good right? For some reason, it makes me feel like we get a lot more fresh energy and positive vibes 🙂
Last week was Telugu New Year (Ugadi) and even though I stay away from my family, I try to celebrate all the Indian festivals as much as I can. I think it’s a sign of respect for our culture and also a way to learn and pass it on to our next generations! And with every festival, one of the best things is to wear new clothes and the other is munching some yummy festive food. And coz I cannot the second one, I wanted to share with you all about my outfit.
I’m a super huge fan of Indian outfits and specially the ones that are different from the usual. Dhoti pants are not a recent trend, we have had them since ages and they are one of my favorites. They add some definition and attention to out legs and instantly make your outfit special!
As you all know, I was in India at the end of last year, so I got this from Myntra while I was there. Myntra and Jabong were my two favorite online shopping sites, that I used to love when I used to live in India(even when online shopping was not a popular thing). I used to buy most of my outfits from there, and I personally feel that they have a outfits for every range and style, with some decent enough quality! If you are from India, I think you have been used to this site by now, with all the fashion and trend waves going on India 🙂
Coming back to the details of the outfit, it is a art silk dress with gold butta on the Kurti. The Kurti comes in a nice boat neck and an umbrella pattern. The Dhoti comes with an elastic waist band, so very easy to adjust. Both the Dhoti and Kurti are light in weight and extremely comfortable. I wanted to keep my look simple, so I just added these long Silver Jhumkis, a pair of bangles and some white slip-ons. I added a pink lip to add a glam finish to my look 🙂
I completely loved my look and I thought you would too. Let me know your thoughts in the comments. Will see you all soon with a new post!
