Happy 2019! I can’t believe that we are already past a month in 2019 🙂 I think this is what they mean by Time flies! I know that I abruptly disappeared from the blog and was missing for more than 2 months now. I was on Vacation, like proper vacation back in India spending a quality time with my family and friends. I was all busy attending weddings, events and travelling all over meeting my relatives. I had a really fun time back in India and was back here like 3 weeks ago. I was taking my sweet little time to catch up on everything at work and at my little home. And here I come, Finally with a new blog post for 2019!
I have asked you all on my Instagram, on what kind of content would you like to see more on the blog and you call came up with many suggestions. Thank you so much for that. And the first post I picked was, Wardrobe Essentials. I am planning to start a series on Wardrobe Essentials for both Indian and Western outfits. If you have any suggestions on what should I call the series, drop them in the comments 🙂 Lets just jump into the post now!
I wanted to start this series with my favorite outfit/piece of clothing, which is nonetheless a Saree. It’s our pride right! So for me one of the most essential and versatile piece is this Goldish Beige Tissue Saree. We can find a lot of variations of this in the market, so you can pick the one that goes well with your style and availability. I have picked mine from RMKV, Chennai 🙂 If you live anywhere near Chennai or get a chance to Visit Chennai, you should definitely shop there!
Talking about the Versatility of this Saree, you can literally pair with any blouse you have. You can pair it with a heavy embroidered blouse for a Wedding and a simple one for any other occasions. If you want to be a little experimental, you can play around any unique patterned blouse and the Saree will fall aligned with it. This could be your complete last minute savior for any unplanned occasions that might need to attend 🙂 This Saree will give you the Elegance and Class, without any effort! And you might know how much I love effortless looks. You can also show different variations with your draping style, every time you wear it 🙂 I would say this would be a classic and timeless piece which anybody can carry irrespective of our color, body type and size 🙂
You can always play around with accessories, hair style and makeup which can bring in a lot of change to your look. I was planning on a more casual kinda look so I opted a casual drape. To complement my casual look and my outfit, I went with pearl accessories. With the off-white and goldish tones they blend in very well with my outfit. I don’t want to always pair my ethnic wear with ethnic accessories, so I paired it with a Wooden Watch from Jord 🙂 It comes with a Sandal wood and olive strap, with silver and gold dial from their Hyde Range. Even though I have a very tiny wrist, I like wearing watches with a big dial and I also like some gold/silver details in my accessories!
Lots of Love 🙂
P.S. Would love to hear from you guys! Random musings, inspirations, everything is welcome(as long as the grammar is impeccable).
