Wishing all my fellow Indians a very Happy Diwali. Festive India is indeed everyone’s favorite time as we get to spend our time with our family and friends amidst the routine chaos. Staying abroad I definitely miss celebrating festivals with family, but I do manage to make it up by celebrating in my own little way 🙂 I offer prayers to god, prepare food following my Mom’s recipes and of course dress up in my favorite Saree. No matter where we live, in the fast-pacing lifestyles I believe we should at least take our time during the festival season to reminisce our traditions and culture, learn more about it so we could pass it on to our next generations.
I’m in my late 20’s and being a Saree lover, I’m definitely planning to add some Saree’s to my Indian wardrobe that I could hold on to. I was always afraid of the wearing Silk Saree’s at this age thinking it might make me look a little older. I got this Saree two years back, as I loved it at the first site but never really took it out assuming it might not suit me well. But this year, I have been doing a lot of things that I haven’t done before so I also wanted to give it a shot! And wollah, I was literally surprised by how it turned out. All the magic was in the drape and after looking at the outcome, I should admit that I drape my Saris very well 🙂
This Diwali, I was lucky enough to receive some special and lasting gifts from my Family. I’m always the person who likes simple jewelry with eye-catchy details than heavy pieces. I was super happy to receive the Bracelet and Ring, and was speechless looking at the make of the peacocks! I also had a matching set that goes very well with my Saree and my bracelet, so I went for it and that was a hit.
After a lot of trail and error, I finally know what kind of makeup works for me and I have been loving loving my results lately. I went for a bright festive makeup and loose hair with a side twist. I love my complete look and I’m super proud of my Makeup and Saree Drape which bring all the life to my look.
