Éclatant Floral Dress

Dress – JC Penny – Black Label by Evan Picone

Sandals – Forever 21

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Mine was wonderful. I am back with a new post to share some wardrobe ideas with you guys. I love florals, and whenever its Summer I always manage to surround myself with some floral prints. Certainly this year is not any different and why should it be? The floral trend is on everything starting from maxi dresses, ethnic Indian wear to ballet slippers to cute accessories. From pastels to deep jewel tones, floral prints of all colors and sizes look great when you blend it well with your overall look.

Here in US, we have a lot of options to pick dresses, and I picked this pretty pastel colored floral dress from JCPenny. It was from the Black Label collection by Evan Picone. When it comes to dresses, I mostly have polyester or crepe ones but this time I wanted to go with something different and then I found this cotton one. It was floral, cotton, fit & flare and also a Midi dress, I possibly didn’t have any reasons to say no to this one.

Now coming over to how to style this, I like to keep it simple, so I paired this with a simple step chain with small pendants, a cute parrot hangings (my sister got those ones for me). I liked the way they complement my dress 🙂 I have picked these blush colored sandals from Forever 21 and that went well with my dress. I would definitely prefer carrying this dress for a simple summer weekend outing . To make this look more trendy (and also to escape from the hot sun) I added this cute cap I got from Macy’s sometime last year.

And apart from just picking the right pair of accessories and shoes, that go with our dress I believe our hair-do also plays a major role in completing our look. I have a voluminous curly hair and don’t like the idea of straightening it every single day, rather I like to try out some new hair styles. As the top knots are currently on trend, I tried a half-up do with a half top knot. My whole idea was to wrap the major portion of my hair so I can avoid the bushy look at my back when I wear a half – up do. And I have some baby-hairs which tend to stand out, so I added a hairband to keep them locked 🙂

I think it turned out cute 🙂 What do you guys think? I could not find the same dress and sandals so I have linked something similar so you can shop if you like them 🙂

Thank you for stopping by 🙂 Will be back again with a new post!
