DIY Flower Wreath

Hi Everyone 😃

How are things going? Winter days are almost gone and I am excited for the Spring already! I see Spring as a time of growth and renewal of plants 💚. This is one of my favourite seasons, where the weather is so perfect. As this is the first week of Spring, I thought of trying a flower wreath as a mark of welcoming Spring. I like trying DIY stuff and Michaels is one of the stores I prefer to buy the supplies.
DIY Flower Wreath
I made this by reusing an old basket wall hanging which I got an year ago, and picked some flowers and ribbons at the store, but you can buy all the stuff required at Michaels. Checkout the steps you need to make this wreath.
DIY Flower Wreath - Required  Supplies
12 Guage Aluminium wire or Wooden frame
Daisy Bushes - Pink, White and Light Orange
Plaster(Tape)
Ribbon - Pink and Gold

I took the aluminium frame (from my basket) and bent it into the shape of a circle of my desired size. You can use a wooden frame as well. I took the some excelsior and using the plaster (tape) fastened the initial portion of it. I kept adding the excelsior and tied it to the frame using the silver gauge wire giving the required shape to my wreath.

I then took off the daisies and leaves from the bunch, separated the flower, added the silver wire to the centre of the flower, pulled it out from the back and attached the flower back as below so I can tie the flowers to the wreath, Then I added two leaves to each flower and secured them using the wire.

I did repeat the same process for all the flowers until I have sufficient ones to finish my wreath. I am planning to fill only half portion of the wreath with flowers, so I made 8 flowers as shown here.

As we have all the stuff ready, start attaching the flowers to the wreath by folding and twisting the silver wire, so the flower gets well attached to the frame and does not fall off.

I have added all the flowers and fastened the edges of the silver wire by bending them into the excelsior. To finish it off I made a bow with a pink ribbon and tied it on the top of the wreath. I used a gold ribbon to tie this to my door, intentionally took a longer one so I can twist the remaining portion of the gold ribbon into the wreath and stick it using a plaster(tape). And now here is my finished DIY Flower Wreath.

This is my way of welcoming Spring this year. I hope we all have some nice new beginnings this year 💗😍. Let me know how do you like this in the comments section and also feel free to share your ideas with me 😊. Have a Happy Week!
